Five syllables, seven syllables, and then five again. For March’s poetry contest, we challenge students to create a haiku. Need some examples? Try the works of Matsuo Basho, Yosa Buson, Kobayashi Issa, and/or Masaoka Shiki. Submissions must be in by March 31st at 9:00 p.m.
